DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Ellegaard has developed a ground-breaking new PM motor and control with a view to savings and streamlining material flow. The technology behind the new PM engine, and the advanced electronic control, make full use of the engine’s capacity. The efficiency thus achieved is the best on the market and the energy consumption exceeds the new European standards for energy consumption. The exact position of the rotor is constantly measured and the current is adapted depending on the rotation speed and load. This is not possible on a standard motor where the current is the same regardless of the position of the rotor.

We have for more than 40 years kept internal transport systems going smoothly all over Denmark During more than fifteen of these years, we have moreover produced, developed, and repaired drum motors locally for Danish businesses.

With the intent of improving the service level, and ensure faster delivery times for customers, we began our own production in Viborg in 2005 – and already in 2009, the production capacity increased sharply in connection with
us setting up on new and larger premises. This means that we can offer extremely short delivery times on standard drum motors, as well as completely individual solutions. If it is urgent, we can deliver a new drum motor within a matter of hours.

Technically and in regards to quality, ScanDrive® drum motors are completely on par with those leading on the world market, and with just a few minor adjustments, our drum motors can easily be implemented into existing structures.

Coatings

COATINGS OF DRUM MOTORS, DRIVE ROLLERS, ROLLERS, ROLLERS, ETC.

If you require a hard-wearing and durable transport solution, ELLEGAARD can help you lay rubber or polyurethane (PU) on drum motors, drive rollers, rollers or rollers. We can of course do this on our own drum motors etc., but we can also help you with coatings on you own drum motors and rollers.

WHY DOES IT REQUIRE A COATING?

Rubber or polyurethane are the most commonly used materials for coatings, and there can be many reasons for applying this to drum motors, rollers, etc. The right coating material with a smooth or waffle surface creates the optimal friction, thus ensuring a good grip on the conveyor belt. The coating can also reduce wear and tear on the conveyor belt and protect the rollers and drum motor against unwanted effects from e.g. oil or chemicals.

NY COATING

At ELLEGAARD, we produce our own ScanDrive drum motors, transport rollers and rollers. And we also apply most coatings ourselves. When you order these products from us, you will therefore receive the right advice on which type of coating is suitable for your project. Regardless of whether it is food, oily products, heavy duty materials from heavy industry or something else entirely, we will find the right solution for you.

REFURBISHED COATING

Bring your old roller, your old drum motor or anything else where the coating is worn or damaged. ELLEGAARD removes or lathe off the worn rubber or polyurethane (PU) and cleans/sandblasts the roller itself for optimal adhesion. Next, we apply and vulcanize with the agreed coating and your roller or drum motor is ready for operation again.

WHICH COATING SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Rubber or polyurethane (PU) has different properties when used as a coating on drum motors, rollers etc. In many cases, a rubber coating on the drum motor or roller will be sufficient to ensure a good grip in the conveyor belt. The rubber coating also has the advantage that it is a simple and cost-effective solution.

  • White rubber with groove for guide profile
  • Black smooth rubber for better friction
  • White smooth rubber for better friction
  • Blue PU coating with ridges for Volta Super Drive
  • Sprayed black PU for better friction
  • White Food FDA approved rubber
Polyurethan (PU) is, like rubber, very wear resistant and can withstand high loads. In addition, polyurethane (PU) is resistant to certain grease, oil and chemical types and the material can be used on countless surfaces. Polyurethane (PU) is also a very flexible material and can also be sprayed directly onto the surface of the workpiece without leaving visible joints.
